When doctors told Barbara Dooley she couldn’t drive, ride, or fly anywhere for a full week due to problems associated with recent knee surgery, she wanted to make it right for the people coming to the Hall of Fame banquet at the Boys & Girls Club in Oneida, TN. So while we will not hear Barbara speak this coming Thursday Night, September 29, 2011, we will have an opportunity to bid on dinner for four with BOTH Vince and Barbara Dooley, in Knoxville, TN. A date is to be decided that is compatible to all.
Not only that: BOTH Vince and Barbara Dooley are willing to come to the Boys & Girls Club soon and everyone who bought tickets to the Hall of Fame Banquet WILL GET A PASS TO GET IN FREE. You didn’t get a ticket to hear Barbara—but now you want to really go to this one because Vince Dooley will be there with her? Never fear….tickets will be on sale as soon as a definite date can be set.
So what are we doing about Thursday night? Fantastic news on that front! Nancy Kassebaum Baker has graciously consented to be our featured speaker. She and Sen. Howard Baker will be present to witness the auction of his photo—and the dinner for 4 with the Dooleys.
