Girls Club is Scott County’s largest provider of youth sports, recreational, cultural and educational opportunities during summer and afterschool time. Each year, over 2,000 children, from all walks of life, participate in Club activities through direct services or community outreach programs. Our professionally trained staff and volunteers supervise wholesome, constructive activities and programs that guide youth toward successful health, social, educational and character-building skills. Our programming ranges from our basketball league to our STEM and robotics programs. Our facility enhances our ability to reach out to Scott County children in a way that delivers profoundly effective solutions to the many challenges facing the young people of our community.
We support all children and teens in Scott County, with a specific program mission that enables us to focus on giving equal access and opportunities to those who come from economically, socially, educationally and physically disadvantaged environments.
Our mission is “To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.” We take that mission very seriously. The smiles on the faces of the children we serve underscore the success we are having in being able to confidently state, “Great futures start here.”
